Settings

The Settings button on the upper right hand corner of the Windows Home Server

Console window allows you to conﬁgure your home server settings. The Settings

window provides a variety of administrative options.

In the Settings window you can conﬁgure the settings for the following categories:

• General

• Backup

• Passwords

• Media Sharing

• Remote Access

• Add-ins

• Hardware Health and Performance Monitor

• IP Conﬁguration

• LightsOut

• Settings for iTunes Server

• Resources

Remote Access

The Remote Access settings page helps you conﬁgure everything you need to

access the Windows Home Server home page from the Internet. To get remote

access up and running, you must turn on Web Site Connectivity, conﬁgure your

router, conﬁgure a domain name for your home server, and set the Windows Home

Server home page.
