Withamobilecomputer,thereareincreasedchancesofspillingliquidsonthekeyboard.Becausemost
liquidsconductelectricity,liquidspilledonthekeyboardcouldcreatenumerousshortcircuits,potentially
causingirreparabledamagetoyourcomputer.
Ifyouspillsomethingonyourcomputer:
Attention:Besurethatnoliquidcreatesashortcircuitbetweenyouandtheacpoweradapter(ifinuse).
Althoughyoumightlosesomedataorworkbyturningoffthecomputerimmediately,leavingthecomputer
onmightmakeyourcomputerunusable.
1.Carefullyunplugtheacpoweradapterimmediately.
2.Turnoffthecomputerimmediately.Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnoff,removethebattery.Themore
quicklyyoustopthecurrentfrompassingthroughthecomputerthemorelikelyyouwillreducedamage
fromshortcircuits.
3.Wipeyourcomputerdrywithapapertowel.
4.Beforeturningonyourcomputer,makesurethatalltheliquidhasdried.

Solution:TheEEPROMchecksumisnotcorrect(block#6).Havethecomputerserviced.
•Message:0177:BadSVPdata,stopPOSTtask.
Solution:ChecksumofthesupervisorpasswordintheEEPROMisnotcorrect.Thesystemboard
shouldbereplaced.Havethecomputerserviced.
•Message:0182:BadCRC2.EnterThinkPadSetupandloadSetupdefaults.
Solution:ChecksumoftheCRC2settingintheEEPROMisnotcorrect.PressF1togotoThinkPad
Setup.PressF9andthenpressEntertoloadthedefaultsetting.PressF10andthenpressEnter
torestartthesystem.
•Message:0185:Badstartupsequencesettings.EnterThinkPadSetupandloadSetupdefaults.
