1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage65.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingandreinstallingthecoolingshroud”onpage69.
5.Locatetherisercardassembly1.See“Servercomponents”onpage24.
6.Ifnecessary,removeanypartsordisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstotheriser
cardassembly1.
7.Grasptherisercardassembly1byitsedgesandcarefullyliftitstraightupandoffthechassis.
