ToinstalltheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModule,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage63.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage63.
4.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModuleto
anyunpaintedsurfaceontheoutsideoftheserver.Then,taketheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitor
Moduleoutofthepackage.
5.LocatetheplaceforinstallingtheSuperCapacitorModuleintheserver.See“Servercomponents”
onpage25
.
6.NotetheorientationoftheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModule.Then,lowertheSuperCapacitor
Moduleandgentlyslideituntilitissecuredbythemountingstudsonthechassis.
