1Clearpasswordjumper(Defaultsetting:open)
Usedtoeraseforgottenpasswords,suchastheBIOSpasswords.
Toclearpasswords,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage63.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage63.
4.Locatetheclearpasswordjumper1onthesystemboard.Then,removeanypartsanddisconnectany
cablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstothejumper.
5.Removethejumpercapfromthejumpercapstorage4.
6.Notetheorientationofthejumpercapandtheninstallthejumpercapontheclearpasswordjumper.
