Youcaninstallorreplaceahot-swapstoragedrivewithoutturningofftheserver,whichhelpsyouavoid
significantinterruptiontotheoperationofthesystem.
TheEMIintegrityandcoolingoftheserverareprotectedbyhavingallstorage-drivebayscoveredor
occupied.Thenumberoftheinstalledstoragedrivesinyourservervariesdependingontheservermodel.
Thevacantbaysareeithercoveredbymetalprotectiveshieldsoroccupiedbydummystorage-drivetrays.
Whenyouinstallahot-swapstoragedrive,savetheremoveddummystorage-drivetrayfromthedrivebayin
theeventthatyoulaterremovethehot-swapstoragedriveandneedthedummytraytocovertheplace.
Attention:AnunoccupieddrivebaywithoutanyotherprotectionmightimpacttheEMIintegrityandcooling
