Initialsetupinstructions
Tousethetabletthersttimeafteryoutakeitoutofthebox,ensurethatyoufollowtheinstructionsbelow:
1.UsethesuppliedUSBcableandThinkPadTabletACChargertoconnectthetablettoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforfourorvesecondstoturnonthetablet.
3.Followtheonscreeninstructionstocompletetheinitialsetup.
4.Beforeyouusethetablet,fullychargethebatteryrst.Itmighttakethreetosevenhourstofully
chargethebattery.Theactualchargingtimeisaffectedbytheinitialbatterypowerlevel.Fordetailed
informationaboutbatterycharging,see“Chargingthebattery”onpage29.
YourGoogleAccount
Tooptimizeyourtabletcapabilities,registerandsignintoaGoogleAccounttouseGoogleapplications,
downloadapplicationsfromGooglePlay,backupyoursettingsandotherdatatoGoogleservers,andtake
advantageofotherGoogleservicesonyourtablet.
Note:AnInternetconnectionisrequiredtocreateorsignintoaGoogleAccount.Ensurethatyourtablet
hasanactiveWi-Fiormobiledataconnection(2Gor3G)beforeyouregisterorsignin.
CreatingaGoogleAccount
TocreateaGoogleAccount,dothefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchAccounts&sync➙ADDACCOUNT.
2.TouchGoogleAccountsfromtheaccounttypelist.
3.TouchCreateaccount,andthenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentocreateyouraccount.
AddingandremovingaGoogleAccount
ToaddaGoogleAccount,dothefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchAccounts&sync➙ADDACCOUNT
2.Touchtheaccounttypethatyouwanttoadd.
3.TypeyouraccountinformationandtouchSignin.
4.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentonishaddingtheaccount.Alltheaddedaccountsarelistedon
theAccounts&syncscreen.
ToremoveaGoogleAccount,touchtheaccountfromtheaccountslistontheAccounts&syncscreen.
Touchthemenuicon.ThentouchRemoveaccount.
SynchronizingyourGoogleAccountwithyourtablet
ThechangesyoumaketoanyaddedaccountonthetabletorontheWebcanbeautomaticallysynchronized
witheachother.Bydefault,theauto-syncfunctionisenabled.
Ifyouwanttosynchronizeyouraccountswithyourtabletmanually,dothefollowing:
1.GototheAccounts&syncsettingsscreen.
