Usingcloud-basedsynchronizationapplication
Yourcomputeralsomightbepreinstalledwithacould-basedsynchronizationapplication,Arcsync.The
cloudtechnologyenablestheapplicationtostoremassiveresources,software,andinformationona
remotecloudserver.Thosestoredresources,software,andinformationaretheso-calledcloud.Through
acloud-basedapplicationoraWebbrowser,userscanaccessthecloudandviewordownloadneeded
information,aswellasuploadinglesandinformationtothecloudserver.
IfyourtabletispreinstalledwithArcsync,touchArcsyncfromtheapplicationlibrarytolaunchit.Whenthe
Arcsyncapplicationopens,youcanuploadlestothecloudserverbydoingthefollowing:
1.TouchArcDisc.Theuploadedlesaredisplayed.
2.Touchthemenuicontoaccessadditionalmenus.
3.TouchUpload.
Downloadacould-basedsynchronizationapplicationfromGooglePlayorLenovoAppShopiftheArcsync
applicationisnotavailableonyourtablet.
SharingyourInternetconnection
Youcanshareyourtablet’smobiledataconnectionwithasinglecomputerthroughUSBtetheringor
Bluetoothtethering.YoualsocanshareyourInternetconnectionwithmultipledevicesatthesametime
bysettingyourtabletasaportableWi-Fihotspot.
Note:Thetetheringandhotspotfunctionsmightnotbesupportedbyallcarriers.
Toshareyourtablet’smobiledataconnectionthroughUSB:
1.UsethesuppliedUSBcabletoconnectyourtablettoyourcomputer.
2.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchMore...➙Tethering&portablehotspot➙USBtethering.
3.Thetabletstartssharingitsmobilenetworkdataconnectionwithyourcomputer.
4.Tostopsharingyourdataconnection,cleartheUSBtetheringcheckbox.Orjustdisconnectthe
USBcable.
Toshareyourtablet’smobiledataconnectionthroughBluetooth:
1.Pairyourtabletwithyourcomputer.See“UsingBluetoothdevices”onpage26.
2.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchMore...➙Tethering&portablehotspot➙Bluetoothtethering.
3.Thetabletstartssharingitsmobilenetworkdataconnectionwithyourcomputer.
4.Tostopsharingyourdataconnection,cleartheBluetoothtetheringcheckbox.
ToshareyourInternetconnectionbyturningyourtabletintoaportableWi-Fihotspot:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchMore...➙Tethering&portablehotspot➙PortableWi-Fihotspot.
2.Afteramoment,thetabletstartsbroadcastingitsWi-Finetworkname(SSID).Nowothercomputersor
devicescansharethetablet’smobiledataconnection.
Note:WhenyourtabletisservingasaWi-Fihotspot,youcannotuseyourtablettoaccesstheInternet
throughtheWi-Ficonnection.However,youcanaccesstheInternetthroughyourmobiledatanetwork.
3.TostopsharingyourdataconnectionthroughWi-Fi,clearthePortableWi-Fihotspotcheckbox.
