3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage87.
4.LocatetheIDM.See“Intelligentdiagnosticsmodule”onpage19.
5.Removethefrontsystemfans.See“Replacingthefrontsystemfan1”onpage188.
6.DisconnectthesignalcableoftheIDMfromtheIDMconnectoronthesystemboard.See“System

7.Ifnecessary,removeanypartsordisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstothesignal
cableoftheIDM.Notethecablerouting,andthenreleasethesignalcableoftheIDMfromanycable
clipsortiesinthechassis.
8.Removethescrew1onthechassisthatsecurestheIDM.Then,carefullyremovetheIDMfromthe
chassisandpullthesignalcableoftheIDMoutoftheholeinthechassis.
