Toreplacethehot-swaphard-disk-drivebackplane,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage85.
3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage87.
4.Locatethebackplanes.See“Hot-swaphard-disk-drivebackplane”onpage39.
5.Removethefrontsystemfan1.See“Replacingthefrontsystemfan1”onpage188.
6.Removealltheinstalledhot-swapharddiskdrivesanddummytrays(ifany)fromthehard-disk-drive
cage.See“Installingorreplacingahot-swapharddiskdrive”onpage135.
7.Recordthecableconnectionsonthebackplane,andthendisconnectallthecablesfromthebackplane.
