ThermwareintheserverisperiodicallyupdatedandisavailablefordownloadontheLenovoWebsite.

levelofrmware,suchastheBIOSupdatesanddevicedrivers.
Whenyoureplaceadeviceintheserver,youmighthavetoeitherupdatetheserverwiththelatestversionof
thermwarethatisstoredinmemoryonthedeviceorreashtheBIOS,theTMMrmware,andtheFRU/SDR.
UsingtheFirmwareUpdaterprogram
TheFirmwareUpdaterprogramenablesyoutomaintainyoursystemrmwareup-to-dateandhelpsyou
avoidunnecessaryoutages.
ToupdateyoursystemrmwareusingtheFirmwareUpdaterprogram,dothefollowing:

withoutencounteringhardwareproblems.
1.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/driversandfollowtheinstructionsontheWebpagetolocatethe
FirmwareUpdaterprogram.
2.DownloadtheISOimagefortheFirmwareUpdaterprogramandtheinstallationinstructionsinaTXTle.
3.UseanyCDorDVDburningsoftwaretocreateabootablediscwiththeISOimage.
4.PrinttheTXTlethatcontainstheinstallationinstructionsandfollowtheinstructionstousetheFirmware
Updaterprogramtoupdateyoursystemrmware.
