Attention:Donotopenyourserverorattemptanyrepairbeforereadingandunderstanding“Safetyinformation”
onpageiiiand“Guidelines”onpage71.
Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoremoveandreinstallthecoolingshroud.
Toaccessmostservercomponentsonthesystemboard,youneedtoremovethecoolingshroud.Toensure
propercoolingandairow,youneedtoreinstallthecoolingshroudbeforeturningontheserver.
Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother
computerforreference.
Note:Dependingonthemodel,yourservermightlookslightlydifferentfromtheillustrationsinthistopic.
Toremoveandreinstallthecoolingshroud,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
