4.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewdrivetoanyunpaintedsurfaceontheoutside
oftheserver.Then,takethenewdriveoutofthepackage.
Note:Donottouchthecircuitboardonthedrive.
5.Slidethenewdriveintothedrivebayfromthefrontuntilitsnapsintoposition.Then,completely
closethehandle.

serverforthenewlyinstalleddrivetoberecognized.See“Hot-swap-drivestatusLEDs”onpage50.If
thedriveisfaulty,reinstallorreplaceituntilitisoperatingcorrectly.
7.Dooneofthefollowing:
•Ifyouareinstallingadrive,savetheremoveddummytrayincasethatyoulaterremovethedrive
andneedadummytraytocoverthedrivebay.
