Toreplacethefrontbackplane,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage69.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage69.
4.Locatethebackplane.See“Servercomponents”onpage28.
5.Removealltheinstalleddrivesanddummytrays(ifany)fromthedrivebays.See“Installingorreplacing
ahot-swapdrive”onpage134.
6.Recordthecableconnectionsonthebackplaneandthendisconnectallcablesfromthebackplane.
7.Pressthetwolatchesinthedirectionasshownuntilthelatchesaredisengagedfromthechassis.
