1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage69.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage69.
4.Ifyouareinstallingtheopticaldriveintotheopticaldrivecage,removethedrivepartition2.Ifyouare
installingtheopticaldriveintothetapedrivecage,removethedrivepartitions1and2.See“Removing
thedrivepartition”onpage160.
